How this site earns, and what we promise.
We believe in telling you how this works. Some links on Red Room Maps are affiliate links, and we say so beside them. Our ratings are never for sale, and if a stay or product is ever offered to us, the review says so. This page is linked from the footer of every page, because you should not have to hunt for it.
How this site earns
Some links on Red Room Maps are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission, and it never costs you extra. It also never changes a rating. We only link to things we'd recommend anyway, and when a brand gives us something to try, we say so in that review.
How we book stays
Sometimes we tell a host we are coming, and sometimes we book as ordinary guests. If a stay is ever offered to us, the review says so.
Our ratings are our own
Licks are our opinion. No one pays for them, and hosts cannot approve or veto a review.
Affiliate links
Each affiliate link is marked beside the link, so you can always tell. On a review with affiliate links, you will see: "Full transparency: some links here earn us a little something. Our licks can't be bought."
